What's up JAC!

We're into Week 7 now, and we hope you've been enjoying our series of in-club events. This week we'll having our second Karaoke Night this year! Come out to watch our members sing their hearts out and even sing along! Also note that because we have an overwhelming amount of songs to get through this time, screening will only be limited to one show; however, we'll still have break midway through the meeting.

Also in case you don't know yet, t-shirts have arrived! If you pre-ordered a t-shirt back in winter quarter, be sure to come by to pick it up (and bring money, preferably exact change, if you haven't paid yet). We'll have a limited amount of extras that are going for $15 per shirt for those who did not pre-order.

Librarian Recruitment: We're recruiting for next year's librarians! If you're interested, please see Headl Librarian Jessica during break! All that's require of the position is that you show up to at least breaktime every week, if not the entire meeting! We'll be recruiting till the end of the quarter!

Week 6!, Yakitate Competition! [Print]

Happy Week 6 JAC!

Join us this Thursday for our annual Yakitate Japan Baking Contest! Come see what our contestants have baked and see how our judges will react to them!

Also, we'll be having a Joint-picnic with Enigma on Saturday 12pm at Sunset Recreation! Come join us for food, games, and have a good time! It is a potluck picnic, so we do encourage people to bring something (anything!) although it is not necessarily required.

Week 5!, Get Ready to Cosplay! [Print]

We're midway through the quarter and we're starting a series of in-club events for you!

1) COSPLAY MINI-CON: Come out to try out cosplay costumes, share your experiences, and learn the basics of cosplay! There will also be other con-related activities!

2) YAKITATE BAKING COMPETITION: It'll be next Thursday May 8th (Week 6)!If you want to participate as a contestant or judge, come see Jack during Thursday meetings to sign up!

3) Karaoke Sign-up Deadline: The deadline to sign up for Karaoke night (taking place in Week 7) is this week! Be sure to sign up!

Week 4! Bake Sale, Yummy homemade goodies! [Print]

BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER: Support JAC on Wednesday at Bruin Walk as we hold our second annual bake sale! We'll have a vast selection of tasty baked goods, some of which you may have tried at our previous club meetings (Sean's lemon bars anyone?).

Be sure to drop by, say hi, and grab a bite! Even if you can't make it, tell your friends!

We're calling on people in the Anime Club to lend us your cosplays to contribute to the Mini-Cosplay Con in WEEK 5. If there's a cosplay that you're comfortable letting someone else wear, we would love to use it. And of course, the cosplays shall be returned to you at the end of the night.

Sawtelle Shopping Trip, good weather + delicious food = ? [Print]

Come to PowerAnime at Westside Pavilion and then Sawtelle for yummy food with Anime club!

Details:
Meeting place: Ackerman Turnaround (where the buses meet)
Time: 10 am until ~3 pm (you can leave earlier or stay later)

We'll be taking the Big Blue Bus to the places so make sure you have plenty of quarters and your bruin card.

Stores you can visit: Power Anime (members have 10% discount), Asahiya Bookstore, Giant Robot, and eat yummy food at the numerous restaurants (curry, ramen, korean bbq, CREPES) on Sawtelle!

Please call me (626-487-7695) or Steven (562-481-2956) if you will be late or cannot come. We will probably start calling those that signed up if they don't show up. If you did not sign up but still want to come, please just show up on time! ^^
