Hey guys!! here's the info for the karaoke trip tomorrow (today? >.>), in case you missed it in club. Sorry this message got sent out so late... my bad T_T
Meeting Time: 11:00am
Meeting Place: Ackerman Terminal
Where are we going?: Sawtelle - Max Karaoke, Nijiya, Asahiya, Japanese Outlet Store, Beard Papa's, Giant Robot, etc...
What are we gonna do?: Lunch at around noon, a little bit of shopping, karaoke for about 3 hours.
How much should I bring?: At least $17 (to cover 3 hours of karaoke + tax), Quarters for the bus ($0.25 w/ Bruin Card each way), lunch money, spending cash etc... And if you can bring smaller bills, please do, so we won't have to go breaking $20s left and right lol.
Anything else?: Make sure you print out lyrics for your songs if you don't know how to read Japanese characters. They don't put up the romaji lyrics on the karaoke machine. The karaoke place does have English songs as well though

Here is the last tid-bits of information ^^ Please please PLEASE read through everything ^_^ We would want things to go as SMOOTH as possible ^^Thank you see you all tomorrow~!
Hotel
* Check Out Time is at 12PM. Please check out on time. If you need to check out but would want to stay longer for that day, you can leave your bags at the concierge desk for a few dollars.
*Make sure to bring a sleeping bag. Most rooms have 5 people ^^;
* Check in with Cynthia at the lobby. You can pay her when you get your hotel key ^^
* Remember, ALA has a con suite, there is food (PB&J, water, chips) to get you through the day if you are hungry ^^ Carl's Jr is close by as well

Hi everyone! JAC is back for another fun-packed exciting quarter! Here are a few updates and announcements before our meeting this THURSDAY in case you didn't get the lovely newsletter from Susanna.
-We're back in Kinsey this quarter; the room is Kinsey 1200B. The time is the same, 6:30-9:30pm; the day is, as usual, Thursday (1/5)! We're still figuring out wheelchair accessibility, so we'll update you as soon as we have the info.
-The Anime Los Angeles con (ALA) is this weekend! Group registration is over, but that doesn't mean you can't attend the con with the club if you want to. Registration is at the door at this point, so if you want to go, Cynthia and/or Gina will be sending out official emails soon that will tell you how to meet up with other JAC members on the day(s). If you are registered with the group, these emails will instruct you as well! An announcement will also be made in club!
-We'll be going to Sawtelle the weekend of week 2 to eat, shop, and do karaoke. Those who are interested can sign up during the meeting on Thursday! It's a fun little event that's close by and doesn't have to be expensive.
Other events coming up this quarter include:
-An ice-skating/hanging-out trip to the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica!
-Another Little Tokyo trip, possibly with the USC club!
-Gothic Lolita night!
-Karaoke night!
-A restaurant fundraiser!
-OFFICER ELECTIONS!!
We will be creating a google calendar that you can check at any time for an update of events. We'll also have more information for you at this week's meeting and as the quarter progresses. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing all of you Thursday!
