Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying your summers.

As you may have noticed, our forum was hacked recently.
All the previous posts were deleted and some of the members were kicked off as well.
We have devised a temporary plan to prevent further attacks so please take the time to read the new forum rules in the General Chat section.

Currently, all members are set to "Temporary Member" and can only write on the Introduction section. You will be upgraded into "Approved Member" once you make an introduction post. Again, please read the rule section for more details.

Sorry for the inconvenience(and bad grammar).

Thank you for a wonderful year JAC! We hope you've enjoyed our screenings and activities, and we look forward to your continual support in the future! Feel free to chat in our forums if you're suffering from JAC Withdrawl in the summer!

Look for us at the Activities Fair in the beginning of next year! Good luck on finals and have a great summer!

If you're going to go to one meeting this quarter, it's got to be this one! We're finishing off the year with a bang with a Baccano marathon and the biggest raffle we've had this year! If you'd like to increase your chances of winning, you can purchase extra memberships for $5!

And of course, come to hang out with your friends as a club for the final time this year before heading into finals. And don't forget to say goodbye to our graduating seniors!

RETURN BORROWED STUFF: If you borrowed any anime or manga in the past weeks, be sure to return them this week! This will be your final chance so please so to it that you have returned everything!

T-SHIRTS: If you still haven't picked up your t-shirt, this will be the last chance this year to pick it up! Also, if you'd like to purchase one now, we have them available at $15!

Welcome to another week of Anime Club at UCLA!

We hope you've enjoyed our in-club events during the past several weeks! We're back to our regular screening line-up this week as we head into the Memorial Day weekend (and Fanime!). Some announcements (copied from Danny's awesome email):

LIBRARIAN RECRUITMENT

We're still looking for librarians to take over for the upcoming year! If you're interested, please contact Jessica Wang, the head librarian, for details.

All that is required of you is to come to every meeting of the quarter with your assigned stash of the club's manga or anime. This is an excellent way to get into the inner workings of the club and perhaps gain experience to run as a future club officer!

As a reminder, our t-shirts are avaliable for pick-up! Pick up your pre-ordered shirts and pay if you haven't already.

For those without pre-orders, you can always buy your own t-shirt now for just $15. Commemorate your membership in the anime club with our specially designed clothing!

FUSION : ANIME EVENT!

The people at the San Gabriel High School's anime club, Anime Anonymous, is hosting a Japanese fashion/cosplay show on May 30th. A J-rock inspired band will be playing as well as a Mini-Masquerade event and a raffle as well.

Pre-sale tickets cost $2, but will increase to $5 on the day of the event.

This is the first time that this club has ever hosted such an event, so let's go lend them the support of the UCLA Anime Club! More information about this event can be found here.
